Terms of Service

Using Hyena

Hyena is provided to a Leader's workplace for managing workplace safety reporting and communication. By using Hyena, a Leader agrees to use it only for that purpose, and confirms they have the right to add their Team's contact information as described in our SMS & Email Notice.

Leader responsibilities

Leaders are responsible for the accuracy of the information they add to Hyena, for adding only people on their own Team, and for responding to Signals raised by their Team in good faith. Adding someone's phone number does not give Hyena their consent to text them: each person confirms by text themselves before receiving anything else.

Anonymity is preserved by design

When a Signal is submitted anonymously, Hyena does not reveal the sender's identity to the Leader. Leaders may not use Hyena, or any information obtained outside Hyena, to retaliate against someone for submitting a Signal.

Service availability

We aim to keep Hyena available and reliable, but Hyena is provided "as is" without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Hyena is a tool to help manage workplace safety communication — it does not replace an employer's own legal obligations around workplace safety.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Hyena after a change means you accept the updated terms.
